Hi, I’m Sohail Nibras, MD. As a double board-certified psychiatrist, an Assistant Professor at a renowned college, and an attending physician at top leading children’s hospitals, I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care.

Whether you are dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, or complex psychiatric conditions, we will work together as a team. My goal is to understand your unique background and build a personalized treatment plan that fits your life, utilizing both modern medication management and talk therapy.

    How do I book my first appointment with NB Psychiatry?

    Where is NB Psychiatry located?

    We have two office locations: 23236 Kingsplace Dr STE A, Katy, TX 77494, United States, and 120 Eldridge Rd, Suite D, Sugar Land, TX 77478. There is ample free parking available for you.

    Does NB Psychiatry accept insurance?

    We currently accept Aetna, Cigna, Oscar, First Health and UnitedHealthcare.

    Alert: Novus Beginning Psychiatry PLLC is NOT a Medicare and Medicaid provider. The law prohibits us from taking cash payments. If you have Medicare/Medicaid, please inform us during our initial 15-minute phone call.

    What are the rates for the services?

    Our rates are $400 for an initial psychiatric Evaluation of 50-60 minutes and $250 for a 25- 30-minute follow-up.

    You can pay with a Health Savings Account (HSA), a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or any major credit/debit card.

    What is out-of-network reimbursement and how does it work at NB Psychiatry?

    If your insurance plan is not accepted, you may still be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. This means you pay upfront for services and submit a claim to your insurance company for partial reimbursement, depending on your plan’s benefits.

    Does NB Psychiatry offer Online-visits?

    Yes, at NB Psychiatry, we offer online/virtual visits via a HIPAA-compliant audio-video platform, Orchid. It allows you to make secure payments, book appointments, and join video visits.

    What should I expect to happen during my first appointment?

    During the first appointment, Dr. Nibras will sit down and listen to you, review your medical, psychiatric, and social history, and work with you to figure out what may be causing your psychiatric symptoms, which usually lasts 50-60 minutes. We will clarify your diagnosis and make individualized treatment, recommendation, and referral resources.

    Do you evaluate and treat for ADHD?

    Yes, we provide online assessments for ADHD, followed by appropriate medication if needed.

    Do you offer same-week psychiatry appointments?

    Yes. NB Psychiatry offers same-day to within one-week appointments for new and established patients.

    We prioritize fast access to care so you can see a psychiatrist quickly without long wait times.

    Is NB Psychiatry accepting new patients right now?

    Yes. NB Psychiatry is currently accepting new patients in Sugar Land, Katy, and Richmond, as well as via telepsychiatry.

    How often will I need follow-up visits?

    Follow-up visits are typically every 2–3 months for stable patients on medication.

    Frequency may vary depending on treatment needs, medication adjustments, and symptom severity.
